Number 9

Yang Jing and Christy Doran, two masters of their instruments, approach each other from different stilistic and geographic directions and attain a telepathic understanding in their collaboration.

During five years the duo, starting with interpretations of Chinese folk music and western songs (Jimi Hendrix a.o.), has worked on compositions bringing out the beautiful blending of the two instruments.

A CD revealing the unique meditative character of the music has been recorded which you find here.

''Ten thousand flowers in spring,
the moon in autumn,
a cool breeze in summer,
snow in winter.

If your mind isn’t clouded
by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life.''

無門慧開Wu-men Hui-ka (1183-1260)

“To see a world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.”

William Blake (1757 – 1827)
